LINCOLN, Neb. – Oklahoma City University carded 310 and grabbed a share of third place in the first round of the NAIA Championships Tuesday at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club. OCU, ranked No. 2 in NAIA women's golf, saw temperatures in the high 50s with wind gusts up to 25 mph on the par-72, 5,978-yard course and finished the first round nine strokes behind leader Embry-Riddle (Fla.).

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sondre Ronold highlighted Oklahoma City University's NAIA men's golf all-Americans after capturing the individual national championship last week in the NAIA Championships at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Ore. The Stars' Anthony Marchesani, James Marchesani and Michael Palmer joined Ronold on the first team as awarded by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Anthony Marchesani also garnered the Phil Mickelson Award as the NAIA's freshman of the year.

SALEM, Ore. – Oklahoma City University's Sondre Ronold carded a round-four 71 to capture the individual title at the NAIA Championships and lead the second-ranked Stars to their ninth NAIA men's golf title Friday at Creekside Golf Club. OCU was the only team to finish under par finishing with 280-288-289-291–1,148, four under par, on the par-72, 6,887-yard course. The Stars defeated top-ranked Texas Wesleyan by 28 strokes and No. 3 Cal State San Marcos by 33 shots.

Bellevue forced the if-necessary game with a 5-4, 13-inning victory over the fourth-ranked Stars. OCU (50-13) advanced to the NAIA Championships on May 24-30 at South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, Ga.

Jamie Rateliff boosted the fourth-ranked Stars by tossing a one-hitter, carrying a no-hitter until one out in the seventh inning. OCU (48-12) takes on Bellevue (Neb.) at noon Tuesday.
